ART AND CULTURAL TOURISM EVENT
The second GrecoActe aims to consolidate a new concept in the definition of cultural tourism, to upgrade the role of the traveler from a passive tourist to a traveler of new experiences and an exchange of ideas, and to establish in the tourist industry an annual international meeting of networks with a common interest in art, nature and tradition.
FRANCE: ECOTOURISM
THE INNOVATION OF TRADITION
The stone of Karystos, the monuments and castles of the region lead us towards a new activity of walking tourism exploring the legends and the ruins Presentation of the exhibition of photographs and drawings of dry stone buildings and castles from the Oksitanikian region of France
SPAIN: TOURISM OF CUSTOMS
ETHER COMMUNICATION
The Spanish guitar and the Greek Laouto improvise and accompany poems of F. Lorca and K. Crystalli in the countryside. Antia of South Evia and Spain’s Gran Canaria will interpret poetry in whistles, and thus communicate culturally with the most special language in the world, while filling the Mediterranean with whistles. The soprano Anthi Kotsoni, the Spanish guitarist Alejandro de Chacón and the performer Sandra Pons Carreras will interpret the idiom using sounds and colors respectively. Dancing groups will take part in this event.
ALGERIA: GASTRONOMIC TOURISM
ΤASTES OF HOSPITALITY
Symposium in nature – the nomads’ lamb, a symbol of Algerian hospitality, meets the “kokkini” of Evia. Emotions, tastes of the countryside in a symposium aiming to acquaint the touristic relations of the two countries with a parallel exhibition of photographs by Algerians and Greek artists.
ITALY: ECOLOGICAL TOURISM
TRADITIONAL SEEDS AND SOWING
the region of Karystos at VivArte Gallery Seed exchange programme from Peliti Evia. Musical theatrical performance by the group Aliveri Solidarity. The Karystian equestrian club “The Fillips” will represent in the art garden the traditional plowing and sowing. The horse, the bridle and the fiber, elements of the pre-industrial ecological cultivatio, which can still be encountered in Evia’s vineyards, become the symbols of an artistic movement of land art .
CYPRUS: WINE TOURISM
THE PATH OF BACCHUS
Presentation of wineries of South Evia and Cyprus in the Mythical Forest of VivArte Nature, in the company of Bacchus, the Muses and the nymphs of the mountains.The history of wine and quotes of ancient Greek poets. An original and interactive wine tasting.
